La Soirée International and Leaving France

Last night was by far the most wonderful night I have had in France, and quite honestly the best of my entire summer. For my final night here in France, we had a "Soirée International", which fundamentally was a talent show, and any students who wanted to perform in it could. I ended up singing two songs, "California Dreamin'" by the Mamas and the Papas, and "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. Anyone who knows me knows that I adore performing, and this was no exception. The first song was fun, but "Hallelujah" was unbelievably beautiful. Singing with some of the most wonderful people I met here was marvelous and an experience I will truly never forget. After the performance, all of us went to to go to dance the night away, which was the absolute most fun I have had in a long time. All of us went and danced for hours and hours, with the professors, the TAs, and all of the students. I ended up only sleeping one hour last night (and now I'm off…
